Event: Airway co-hosts an event with New York American College of Emergency Physicians (NYACEP)
Date: June 9 2020
Location: Virtually through Zoom
Times are dramatic in our field. Many of us are dealing with the most profound emergency medicine event in our careers.
For years, Airway has been a storytelling initiative for emergency physicians to mark the moments that make our jobs powerful.
The emergency medicine community has coalesced in an amazing way to share clinical information to manage COVID-19. It is crucial that we come together to share our stories of the human costs and hopes that comprise our work.
New York ACEP will be hosting a live Airway event Tuesday, June 9th at 8pm for stories to be told and shared. Registration is free and limited to 100 and can be completed using the registration link below. Registrants will receive Zoom access information by e-mail.

We partnered with FemInEm for a fantastic Airway event after a day of inspiring talks from thought leaders in emergency medicine at FIX 2017. A star studded audience was treated to leading voices in the EM world giving insight into our community.
The second time’s a charm, as they say….we went back to Lake George for the New York American College of Physicians S.A. and gathered around for an afterhours fireside evening that went deep into the night. This may just turn out to be an annual thing!….
The Midwest heated up in April with an Airway for residents from University Hospitals’ EM program, hosted by the indomitable Vicki Noble. Excellent tales were shared, with fun and meaning shared by all. With special guest Chris Doty partaking in the action, good times all around!
Thanks to everyone who turned out for our March 28, 2017 Airway event at B-Bar @bbarnyc! Stories ranged from a pathologist who accidentally flushed a resected colon down the toilet to an ER doc working to save the life of a child in a resource-poor country. Special thanks to Essential of Emergency Medicine for sponsoring. Look out for our next event and keep those stories coming!

Per usual, the evening holds the unknown thrills and depths of our days in the ED. Hosted by the incomparable Billy Mallon, the event will be sure to inspire/challenge/provoke you into perhaps getting up and telling your own tale! No judgement….just wear something nice…
